The art of wanting
Wanting things can be surprisingly difficult. It’s easy to be blocked by rejecting things, even without noticing, because they seem unrealistic, or because you fear the consequences. Noticing that you actually want something might be worthwhile, even if you don’t want to do what it takes to get it, or you don’t want the things that come with it. For a start, you could be mistaken about the difficulty of achieving it, or there might be ways to get the good parts while avoiding the bad parts. But if you don’t notice that you want the thing, you won’t do the work of thinking through how to achieve it.
