Reading to maintain good beliefs

Following on from the Right-Wing Experiment, it seems that the ideas that you are regularly exposed to are more important in changing and maintaining your beliefs than logical argument. I spend a lot of time reading self-improvement blogs these days, and often not because I think I'm going to learn anything new from them (though I can always be surprised), but because it keeps my thinking positive and keeps me focused on improving my life.
