Strange connections

From the ages of around 11 to 13 I was very much into the Warhammer games, particularly Warhammer 40,000. It's years now since I've been involved with them, but I still think they're damn cool.

Skip forward a few years to me as a 15 year old, and I was fascinated by cyberculture and loved reading magazines like Mondo 2000 and bOING bOING.

Shortly after that I started listening to a lot of dark electronic music, including a band called C17H19NO3.

The other day I was wondering whether C17H19NO3 had done anything new, so I went to the website and had a look. Yes, there was some new stuff, including an album called Music for Hammering, described as "an unofficial warhammer 40k soundtrack". Cool. And it gets better. It should be (but temporarily isn't, unfortunately) available to download from 40k Konversions, and the editor of that site turns out to be one Gareth Branwyn, who, in the mid-nineties, wrote for magazines including Mondo 2000 and bOING bOING.
