Back from the Festival of Inappropriate Technology

The Festival of Inappropriate Technology was a lot of fun. While I'm quite accustomed to gatherings of computer geeks, the mixture of art geeks and computer geeks was something that I've never really seen before. The atmosphere was really good, and it was fascinating seeing the things that people were doing with their machines.
I'd never heard of Project Orion before. A beautifully crazy idea. Other things that caught my eye: John Hollis's circuit bending, Paul Granjon's BBC Microcomputer-controlled birds and other devices (largely for the nostalgia factor, the BBC being my first computer), the radio station in a briefcase (don't know who came up with that), and all sorts of other things...
