I've got a few old issues of the Extropy magazine around here somewhere, and for a brief period, because it's very high-volume, I was subscribed to the Extropy mailing list. In case you're not familiar with them, the Extropians are an odd bunch of people who believe in optimism, free markets, living forever through technology, and so on.
They do not believe in planned economies, centralisation of power or global governments. During the time I was on the Extropy mailing list I can recall only one person arguing in favour of socialist ideas, and I got the distinct impression that he was in a very small minority. I wasn't even sure whether he really counted as an extropian.
And I'm thinking similar thoughts now.
Her music, by the way, isn't bad. A little conventional for my liking, but it has its moments.
