Isn't it strange how Y2k seems a long way away right up until it actually comes? And it's strange that we expect a major change when really it's just going to be life as usual. Human expectations are very strange indeed.

Anyone who tells you that the millenium celebrations in London were a happy event did not see the hundreds of people trying to get into Green Park tube station to get home afterwards. Those people were unbelievably unhappy and very aggressive. I didn't see one person smile there.

Despite Green Park (which we gave up on in the end), I had a nice time last night. But that's because of friends rather than the new year.
