Now and Then
Green world outside the window, summer world.
Daffodils on this side of the stream,
the other side a strip of ragged wood,
glimpsed through it sheep grazing in a field.
Green world in my eyes, heart. Other summers,
last summer, your world too.
Where are now
the coloured worlds your eyes fed to your heart?
