Archiving Problems

I'm wondering what to do about splitting this page up when it gets too big. I need a solution that allows people to link to individual entries while the entry is on the current page and after it goes into an archive. I was thinking of doing clever things with Perl but unfortunately my account doesn't allow for CGI programming. Any suggestions?
