[Dogs, children, parents, cars]

Dogs, children, parents, cars

Couples, clubs, packs and droves

O what a wealth of world worthwhile

Will summer bring for the gregarious.

Already, knowing today a foretaste,

I look around for my ivory tower.

Can I, on the rough sea of humanity

Survive another year?

Winter was the dark time

The land deserted, mine.

No competition for the darkness

I alone by the cold river walked.

So in the spring I shall be ruthless

In my choice of thought, and note

Only the things that lonely too

Have no choice but to bloom.
